Join me every week as I #flavordrop a brand new ice cream flavor.
I'm building my flavor library for our shops and to show you how you can make ice cream from home, too!
Hey there. I'm Breeanne from Creamarie. And today we are doing a flavor drop. Once a week, we're going to be doing these, where I introduce a new flavor, one that I've never tried before. And to see how it goes how it turns out, it's going to be kind of experimental. With some of these things. The flavor this week is going to be fudgy brownie. I'm excited for this flavor, I haven't put brownies yet in my ice cream. So it'll be really nice to have that element in there. And to see how it does with the ice cream, I'm also going to be adding our signature fudge sauce, which is so good. It's not very sweet. It's very chocolatey, and it has some salt to it. So when you combine it with a sweet cream, and brownies, for example, that are also sweet, then you have this other component of saltiness, I guess stick around to the end of the episode to see the final product when it is finished. And we'll have testers and so first what I'm going to be doing is making our signature fudge to get the full recipe of that you can go to creamery.co. To get one and a half cups of fudge sauce. Now we're gonna do this caramel sauce. I have made caramel sauce before but I'm not using the recipe that I've done in the past. I've only made it a handful of times. So this one is something different sugar, cream, butter, salt and a little bit of water and we will see how it goes. Our caramel sauce is done. And I'm just going to pour it in this jar. I don't know if it's going to fill one or two. The whole point with the caramel is to keep it suspended in the ice cream. It looks really good. Tastes really good too. And when it's nice and cool, we'll put it in our ice cream. I'm going to be the brownies for the fudgy brownie ice cream recipe. I decided just to use a box for this round. Maybe in the future I'll decide to make homemade brownies. But for now, the box is the way it's gonna go
have a little helper with me as we finish our ice cream. Now what we're going to do is make the ice cream. I need this Thank you. I need that we have our brownies or fudge or caramel we're going to add vanilla to our ice cream base here we'll put the ice cream in the ice cream maker he's just gonna fill holes and stuff so we're gonna let that churn and then when it's almost finished, we will add some fudge sauce some caramel and sunburns. All right, this is looking pretty good. So what I'm gonna do is start adding some of the fudge in here little mixin calling that good when I'm gonna do is throw in some brownies just incorporate them some more fudge sauce. I will do a little bit of karma like the karma might get really cold in here we'll see now February depending on the ice cream you're doing, you can either just mix it straight in or if you want to have more ribbon looking ice cream. Then you do this layering process. And it just Yikes. Looks a little more pretty. Oh Dear. Okay, thank you. You like that my, like licking your fingers? Yeah, that'll top off here so we have our ice cream, and I'm just gonna stick the lid on it, let this freeze, wipe it off around the sides. Put it in the freezer, let it get really hard, because that's the best ice cream. And we'll find out later how our fudgy brownie turns out. My friend Janelle is here with me taste this ice cream, we're gonna be talking about this flavor. What we like where there needs to be improvement and our general thoughts about it. When I scoop into it, it'll be interesting to see how it looks as well because I would like to see ribbons in there. But right now it just looks like chocolate. So let's do this. Oh, well. Hey, there's some ribbons. That's good. Okay. Oh, that looks good. I'm pleased. Does, you're gonna see some caramel in there, as well. Do you see Kamala Norris? Okay, I see. So now that I've scooped into it, I like what I'm seeing. I didn't really love the top of it. But I like this. Yes. So yeah. Let's see. It's very good. What do you think? I love that book. Carmel. No, I'm a combo.
You don't. Meaning. I like this card with it. Oh, you must have got like a big chunk.
Yeah, I'm trying a big chunk right now. I liked the taste of what I just ate is was like frozen. I'm kind of wondering if the brownies sunk to the bottom. Oh, there's a brownie. How's the flavor? The
I definitely like the combination of the brownie and fudge and caramel. Yeah, like the salty and the sweet. Like it's rich, but it's not rich. You know? I mean, like, it's got like good flavor, but it's not over the top. Like I couldn't like take a bite of this and be like, Okay, I don't want anymore because it's too much because it's a vanilla base ice cream. And then I put some fudge sauce in when it was churning, which therefore came wider but kind of chocolate. But it's so subtle. You get more of the chocolate in the Bernie and in the fudge the caramel I definitely need to work on I would definitely add more brownie into a batch. And since that's kind of what you're going for, for this flavor. Yeah, unless it's all in the bottom.
I kind of think that is all on the bottom. But I would want like some and everybody. Yeah, I mean, yeah, so ever next time, my layering of the ice cream will be different. My camo needs to be different as well. Just a little more truly, instead of falling hard. But this was a good flavor of the week.
