This week's flavor drop is Banana Raspberry Brownie Ice Cream.
This is an original Creamarie flavor I dreamt up while going to Cold Stone since forever and I wanted to bring it to you on my site and in my stores... enjoy!
Hey there, we're going to be making banana raspberry brownie ice cream today. This is one of the things that I would get all the time growing up when we would go to Coldstone. Instead of getting a flavor on their menu, I would always do my own combination of banana ice cream, raspberries and brownies. So I'm excited to make this because it is my opportunity to make my own version of one of my favorite flavors. We'll get started with our banana ice cream. Let's puree the bananas. We're going to now make our ice cream so we're gonna just combine everything together
turn our banana ice cream I'm gonna just crumble these pieces. Our banana ice cream is finished it is perfect. So we are going to take the dasher out and start layering with the brownies and the raspberries are really really want this flavor to work out. I'm not really mixing in the brownies. I'm just pressing them into the ice cream. Whereas I am mixing the raspberry a little bit. We have two pints of beautiful I'm hoping amazingly delicious banana raspberry brownie ice cream that we're going to stick in the freezer so they can get really hard. And when it's good and hard then we'll try them cam Yes. Thanks for being here with me. I'm glad you told me previously that you like chocolate and raspberry or chocolate and banana. Yes. You've never had a combination like this before. I

I think it looks good to dig in. Okay. It's banana ice cream. Have you had banana ice cream before?
That's good. Yeah. I like the chunks of brownie in it.
Yeah, I do too. I think that the ice cream is so nice. I think I could have put more raspberry in here.
Bring out that flavor a little more. It looks really pretty enough
does. And I think that the raspberry, just the whole combination. Together. It's so yummy.
It is. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Yeah.
Growing up. When I would go to Cold Stone. I'm a I'm a huge flavor Trier. And it doesn't matter how many times I've been somewhere, I will still try their flavors, and then most likely revert back to what I always get, which is what I do with Coldstone I tried their banana ice cream. It was like the most amazing thing ever to me and then got banana ice cream with raspberries and brownies in it. And I have never not gotten that. Actually I there probably are just seldom few times that I've not gotten that combination and I've always been disappointed. Like why did I do that? I should have just stuck with my regular Yeah, yeah. And so now it's fun to have my own take on it. You know instead of putting whole raspberries in there like Coldstone does. I did a raspberry sauce.

Yeah, I'm the same way when I go to, especially like Mexican restaurants. I feel like I always get the same kind of tacos. Yeah, every time. It's hard to break the mold it is.
You're like, I know I like it. So I'm gonna stick with it. What do you think of the texture of this ice cream?
It's good. I like it. I like how in your other videos that you've had mentioned about being able to chew it a little more. And I like that cap to it.
Yeah, I do think that the raspberry sauce makes it a little icy. I can fit to fill some ice crystals. And hear them as I chew.
But have the difference of textures between like the really soft, gooey brownie. And the crunchy of the
raspberry. Yeah, you'd like that. Yeah. And I ended up leaving the seeds in what do you think of that?
I didn't really notice. Yeah, either way. It looks raspberry. Yes with it. Yeah. But the seeds, but they're not. Yeah, sometimes when you hold raspberries that they get stuck in your teeth. Yeah. I'm not noticing that.
Yeah. Oh, man that I just had was really good. Good banana flavor. I love the brownie. The goofiness of the brownie. I think it really does. It like kind of coats your mouth. You know? It's like, like a dog. Yeah, peanut butter.
I need to get it all off. Yeah, it's tasty.
And that I just ended up using a box mix. Not that I don't make my own brownies, but it's just easier to make do a box.
I am with you. I am not a baker make bread. But that's about it.
What do you like so much about ice cream?
I was thinking about this morning. Yeah. Like when you eat up the like smoothies epithet compared to like, a cookie or something else like that. It's get the crunch. Ice cream is just like, smooth texture. And like you said kind of like Coach your mouth. Yeah. So I like that. And I like that. You kind of have to like sit and enjoy it like a cook. You can tap thicken quicker bites been ice cream that you sit, you enjoy it to spend time with friends talking, like while you're eating it or family. And the summer we went on a trip to Washington for a couple of weeks. And there was an ice cream shop that I took my girls to we'd go hiking and then go get ice cream while we were there. And we'd always sit out in the garden and it was just like a fun way for us to sit and talk and remember, like fun things about our hike. So it's definitely something that you would sit and enjoy and you enjoy the time while you're eating it too. Yeah,
I think ice cream really does that. It brings it brings people together and it helps invite memories. What's your go to my ice cream spot or brand?
I like Goldstone a lot. Yeah. I love they're like the chocolate peanut butter. One I can think of what's called the lots of chocolate. Lots of peanut butter at home. I love Ben and Jerry's. Yeah, or toMac Yeah.
What do you like about those so much? Ben and Jerry's.
I just like the different combinations. Like we had Jerry Garcia the other night. And like you're saying to about like memories that whenever I eat diet, it always makes me think of like my parents and growing up because that was my mom's favorite ice cream. And she'd always keep a stash of it like hidden in the back of the freezer.
No one knows no one everyone does.
So makes me think of her bi just like like the different textures and there's and that was something I really liked about your rocky road I think that's one I had was I love like the Marshmallow Swirl in it. And that was that reminded me a lot of the Ben and Jerry's. I think it's one sweet world that they have the marshmallows. We're all in it to
was it the rocky road or this Moore's smart Moore's. Okay.
But yeah, anything chocolate. So chocolate raspberry or peanut butter? Yeah, my favorites.
Nice. I already finished. It was so good. It was good. It was really good. Yeah, it was really I was pleased with how it turned out. And I kinda like
to to the more like, it kind of melted. It kind of gets like, on melded together. Yeah. And that like really? The smoothness of the brownie.
Yeah, one of my favorite flavors.
Yeah, I would have never put that chocolate banana raspberry together yet. And I was even thinking about even like, like banana and raspberry. You can do a smoothie. Yeah, yeah. But the three of them may have a new favorite combination. Magic.
Yes, there was another one that you mentioned Tilak What do you like about telling maximum errs? Yeah,
I think tell them look at more just like the simplicity of like their strawberry is so good. They're struggling. Hurry. It's really good. It's got like the chunks of strawberry and it's just really like smooth creamy like BlackBerry cobbler. Oh, I think yeah, and that one's really good. And like the BlackBerry is just so rich. So yeah, I think like with the Ben and Jerry's, I like they'll have fun different combinations, but tell them look, it's just so delicious. Yeah, just simple but good. Yeah. I think that's something that I always go back and forth with when I ice cream is do I want just like the plain old traditional strawberry? Or do I want the more like, exciting of like the chocolate raspberry banana or the peanut butter cup? Peanut Butter Chocolate swirl kind of ice cream?
Yeah. So kind of depending on what mood you're in, you're, you'll lean fruity or chocolaty. More so? Yeah. Nice. I feel like I've been making a lot of fruity flavors, especially these last few weeks. Yeah. And I am craving more of a chocolate or even a vanilla base. Ice cream. So I am gonna have to look at my list to see what's next because I can't remember but
yeah, well the fruity so good for the summertime. It is.
Yeah. But I think now that the weather's changing a little bit. Slightly. I'm starting to change my mood is starting to change a little Yeah. Does your family like ice cream as much as you
retail? We do. We do like ice cream we just had last night with we especially like doing like with a hot chocolate chip cookie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Yeah. That sounds good. And that's always a good way to of using up like we had a big couple of like the big, cheaper tubs of ice cream. Yeah. That he used it up palette.
Yeah, let him melt. So yeah,
we definitely all love ice cream. And kids have some questionable combinations when we go to Coldstone Oh, yeah. What did they do? I think that our day it was like cotton candy, chocolate chips, gram cracker. And gummy worms was one of my daughter's combinations. And I was like, huh, your Mommy won't bite? No, no. Nothing's
cotton candy ice cream. Always sounds so gross to me. Or bubblegum or playdough. Any of those types of flavors like
nothing. But one of my kids did try when you're in Washington. They tried a lemon white chocolate chip. Oh, and it was a first I was like, That's a strange combination. Who's so good.
I think that sounds really good. Actually. So tasty. How was their lemon ice cream?
It was good. It was like a lot. I think it worked really well with a chocolate chips because of a smoother. Yeah, sometimes like if sorbet is a little more icy. Yeah. But it was so smooth. And so I think it worked really well with the white chocolate chips. Yeah.
And then the chocolate chips. It was like just chocolate chips in it.
They were like the mini white chocolate chips. Okay,
so when you get into them, it was crunchy. Yeah. Do you like that? I do. Yeah. I don't leave that way. You don't know.
Like, like neither?
I do. I would rather have a chocolate vein or if I have chocolate chips or chunks. Making them small enough that it melts quick enough during the chewing process,
or what about like in a cookie though? Yeah,
so the cookie dough I have old chip dough does have chunks of chopped up chocolate in it not chocolate chips, but like a chocolate bar. And it works. And I think it works because of the texture of the cookie dough. Yeah, it's mine. Because it's oat flour. It cut you kind of get the oat texture in there. And so with
all of that so much chunkier rather than the smooth. Yeah, talk to or
even like a like a like a cookie dough that. I think Ben and Jerry's has those round little balls and their chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough, but they look kind of artificial to me. Whereas mine is a homemade gal, you know? So anyway, just to texture thing depending on what what it is the texture works or doesn't work for me. Thank you for being here. Yes. Thanks
